Great Yarmouth’s biggest Leisure Pool. With its unique beach like walk in entry, six lane 25 metre pool, wave machine and slide. It’s the safest way to have fun & get fit on Great Yarmouth’s new look seafront.
The sessions above do not overlap and all swimmers shall be asked to leave at the end of each session. Entry to the next or another session within the same day shall be charged at the normal rates. Please call the Centre to ensure that each session is running as planned as sessions change on occasions to accommodate for customer numbers, staffing levels and unforeseen circumstances.

  • Integrated wave machine, which operates every 30 minutes except during swimming lessons, adults only & aqua fit sessions

  • 8 people poolside sauna (at an extra cost)
  • All of our Lifeguards hold a current and valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

  • 1 x Poolside disabled change with 7 x £1.00 returnable lockers situated externally to the changing room (of which 3 lockers are for less able bodied customers)
  • Male Changing room with 30 x £1.00 returnable lockers (of which 3 lockers are for less able bodied customers)
  • Female Changing Room with 24 x £1.00 returnable lockers (of which 3 lockers are for less able bodied customers)
  • 83 x Poolside £1.00 returnable lockers

During School Term Time the slide operates at the weekends and everyday of the School Holidays the Aqua Slide operates between the times of 11am and 6pm. The Slide rules are as follows;
  • No children under the age of 4
  • Parents may not accompany a child down the slide at any time
  • One person at a time
  • The user must be sitting or lying feet first
  • No arm bands or inflatables, floats, goggles or glasses


  • Children under the height of 1 metre must be accompanied by an adult whilst using the inflatable. This adult is to be positioned next to inflatable within the water.
  • All users of the inflatable must be able to swim, non-swimmers must not use it.

Due to Health & Safety Regulations surrounding pool operations set by the Health & Safety Executive there are certain rules and procedures, which must always be followed;
  • No Running
  • No Bombing
  • No Jumping (in certain parts of the pool)
  • No Pushing
  • No Snorkels, snorkel masks or flippers
  • No Acrobatics
  • No sitting on shoulders
  • No objects to be thrown
  • No balls other than beach balls
  • No unaccompanied children under the age of 8
  • Lifeguards must be obeyed at all times

Due to the different activities which go on and peak periods of the leisure pool the timetable changes between School Term Time and School Holidays. Please see both timetables for more information.
  • Last entry 1 hour before pool closes.
  • Please check swim times before visiting.
  • The waves are on every half hour except during swimming lessons, adults only & aqua aerobics.
  • The Aqua slide operates between 11:00am and 6:00pm on weekends during School Term Time.
  • The Aqua slide operates between 11:00am and 6:00pm every day during School Holidays.
  • The Baby Pool is open for use at peak times and fully dependant on lifeguarding numbers. Due to Health & Safety if any area of the pool has to become unsupervised it must be closed immediately. Due to our unique walk in beach like shallow end the closure of the Baby Pool will hopefully not affect your visit. Many times that the baby pool is closed will mean that the Aqua Slide is open. Please call before your visit to have the up to date status of the Baby Pool.
  • A range of swim accessories are available to buy from reception.

The Marina Centre’s capacity for a General Swim session with the entire pool open is 228 people.
The Marina Centre’s capacity for a Fun Swim session with the entire pool open is 194 people.

Try one of our unique Swimming Pool Parties, ideal for children's birthday parties.

Sole use of the pool, waves, slide and one of our large inflatables (2 to choose from) = £180.

All parties required to be booked and paid for at least 2 weeks in advance of the party date.

Party hosts available by special request, at least 1 month's notice required, extra costs applicable.

All parties are held on Saturday evenings 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Food following a Saturday evening Pool party is not available at present, but watch this space.

The party size can be from 10 people upto a maximum of 50 (child to adult ratios apply).
